Dude, y’all, I’m still new to this freelance thing! I come from in-house web development, in a corporate environment, I was the only web designer, and paid salary regardless of the scope of the web project!
So, this is for my reference….
My super secret pricing plan:
- build out a pricing calculator? (for myself)
- 50/hour for “budget” option (minimum charge 1 hour)
- 800 for a static site, up to 5 pages, then $50/additional page
- 1200 complex site (includes database stuff)
- 3k ecommerce, account management, database stuff
- email templates = $400 for the whole package
I can preface each call with: Hey, still figuring out how to scope these kinds of projects ^_^
Turnaround time: 4-6 weeks max. But like 2 weeks if it’s a simple, static site.
when I’m done with the calls, I tell people: I think I have everything I need, I’ll get you a price by the end of the week (within 3 business days). Thank you!
